The sun and warmth has finally arrived in Ann Arbor and you can tell the people here are thrilled! I spent as much time as I could outside this past weekend, with lots of visits to the dog park. I am also simultaneously reading two non-fiction books- My Life in France (meant to finish this months ago) and One More Thing. It is refreshing to flip from Julia Child's culinary adventures in Paris to B.J. Novak's sarcastic and random short stories. I spent Saturday evening with my Ann Arbor bestie, Lauren. We had pistachios, skinny pop, and wine and watched the most depressing film with brilliant acting--August: Osage County. On Sunday, we went to our Church and made Easter brunch with our neighbor-friends--who are actually more like family. It is a huge blessing to have a couple to do life here in Ann Arbor together. I really miss home and spending holidays with my family, but knowing we have "family" here is a huge gift.
