When there are about 10 things on your 30 before 30 list and you have a week until you turn 30, it's go time. Hence another post about my latest endeavor -- another tattoo!
This tattoo represents the love for my sweet husband. He is going to get one too, but he is still deciding where. "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" is straight from the Bible and I like looking down at this and thinking about what it means to unconditionally love someone. That is the type of brilliant, exciting, and long lasting love I share with RJ. Wow, even I just threw up a little bit in my mouth from saying that...ha!
Here are my three small rules for getting tattoos (this new one is my third!)
Here are my three small rules for getting tattoos (this new one is my third!)
- I have to be able to see it
- I have to be thinking about a certain design and location for at least a year before I commit to it
- It has to be meaningful to me
I had Kylee and Lorie by my side and a great tattoo artist. Overall it was a very fun hour of my life! People always ask what it feels like...the best thing I can say is "annoying" and "1,000 little bee stings". But, then it sounds worse than it is. The best thing to do to take the edge off is to get a pre-tattoo drink and bring some buddies. My tattoo artist was brilliant - thanks Lorie for the recommendation and "in!"
To my sweet beloved.
